Company: MarineSource is an Atlantic Canada leader in the commercial and recreational marine

industry supplying a diverse range of marine products from regional, national and international

suppliers. Leading products include ZF propellers, boat shaft systems, hardware and supplies. The

company is also a manufacturer of a select line of marine products. MarineSource, Inc., was formed in

2009 to take over the manufacture and distribution of the Hall & Stavert line of marine supplies in

Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.

Job Description: Due to expanding business opportunities, MarineSource has an opening for a full-time

Marine Sales & Marketing Associate in Charlottetown, PEI. Candidates should have knowledge of marine

parts, supplies, and accessories. The position requires detailed communications with customers and

vendors. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in boat repairs and components, while having the

ability to assist or research products and parts for customers. Experience maintaining inventory and

shipping/receiving parts is required. The position requires excellence in customer service, organizational

and computer skills.

- Providing professional service with customers, technicians, and vendors

- Maintaining existing customer relationships, and seeking new sales opportunities

- Process customer inquiries and purchases efficiently

- Research and order parts for customer orders and repairs

- Participate in merchandising and maintenance of the store

- Shipping and receiving orders

- Occasional regional travel for customer visits and trade shows/conferences

- Some knowledge of boating equipment and supplies

- Excellent organizational and communication skills

- Technical ability in electronics, equipment, and computers an asset

- Detail oriented

- Experience in sales and marketing an asset

- Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions

- Self-starter, team player

- Experience and knowledge in safe work practices with manual and power tools/equipment

- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Word, and Outlook), and an ability to learn and

use new software programs

- Ability to lift heavy objects within a retail and warehouse environment

- Valid driver’s license, with a clean driver’s abstract (for the past 3 years)

- College/University an asset; French language an asset

- Emergency First Aid / CPR

All candidates must successfully pass a criminal background check and validation of their work

experience to qualify. The position includes a competitive salary, commensurate with experience.
